Painting mostly in acrylics or Photoshop, Patrick Maté is an award winning Character Designer, working the last several years at Dreamworks Feature Animation, designing and animating on some of our favorite animated films. In 2005, he won an ASIFA Annie Award, Best Character Designer, for Dreamworks’, Father of the Pride.
Recently wrapping up The Bee Movie, he has also designed characters for Flushed Away, Shark Tales, and is currently working on their next animated feature, Shrek III sequel.
Born in France, Patrick is an established name in the animation industry, having worked in France, England and the U.S. for over the past 20 years.
